What is Patching, Vulnerability Scanning and SOC?
Patching usually refers to Windows updates, such as Security, Driver updates, or general updates keeping your Windows Operating System up to date and Secure.
Vulnerability scanning is like the above but for all other products, such as Adobe Reader, and TeamViewer, these Apps we monitor and update by looking for later versions ensuring they are updated to fix any vulnerabilities.
Vulnerabilities may be due to a bug or a weakness in the software that a hacker can exploit and potentially breach.
SOC – Usually pronounced “sock” is an outsourced team of Cyber Security professionals dedicated to monitoring and remediation of SentinelONE and Microsoft 365 applications 24×7. Their mission is to detect, analyse and respond to security incidents in real-time. This orchestration of cybersecurity functions allows the SOC Team to maintain vigilance over the organization’s networks, systems and applications and ensures a proactive defence against cyber threats.
